MAS eligible | Advance Notice Required

Provides medical transport in Broome, Cayuga, Chenango, Cortland, Delaware, Fulton, Greene, Herkimer, Madison, Montgomery, Oneida, Oswego, Otsego, Schoharie, Tioga, and Tompkins Counties.

Fare

  • Individual: Base rate (ask dispatcher/driver) + surcharges and tax, call dispatch or book online.
  • Airport Fare: $12 within 1 mile of airport, $15 beyond 1 mile of airport.
  • Extra Charges: $1.50 per check-in or carry on bag. Backpacks, purses, laptop bags are free.

ADA Accessibility

Collegetown cab provides a wheelchair and mobility devices accessible van equipped with ramp when requested 48 hrs in advance. All Cab Services offer rides to wheelchair users if the device can be folded and stored in the trunk. Request your specific accommodation when scheduling a ride.

Fare
  • Zone 1: $2.00 one way (within city of Ithaca)
  • Zone 2: $3.00 one way (outside of city of Ithaca, inside Tompkins County)
  • Complimentary (Free) or discounted rates for individuals who qualify (senior, disability)

ADA Accessibility

If you are unable to access the bus system, you may be eligible for ADA complementary paratransit, offering door to door transport.

Fare & Passes

$1.25 Bus Fare: Use exact change or purchase a daily, weekly, monthly or yearly pass.
$3  One-day pass; $6 Two-day pass, $15 Five-day pass, $17.50 Wk pass, $45 Mo pass, $450 Yr pass.

Discounted rates and passes for seniors, youth, students, persons with disabilities and limited income:

  • $0.75 Half-Fare for seniors, college students, persons with disabilities, medicaid recipients.
  • Free Fare with FreeRyde Pass for Youth (14-18 yrs of age). Contact TCAT for a pass in advance to your trip.
  • Free without a pass for youth age 5 and under must be accompanied by an adult (3 children per adult).

ADA Accessibility

For persons with disabilities, each TCAT bus is equipped to safely secure riders with wheelchairs; with ramps and lifts for ease in boarding and exiting the bus. All major stops are announced.  You can also ask the driver to announce your stop. Hailing cards and accessible formats of schedules are available by request.

Tips

  • Whenever possible, plan your transportation in advance to choose your best way to go.
  • If you can access a bus, notify the driver about your specific accommodations.
  • Reserve a cab in advance and notify them of your specific accommodations.
  • If you are unable to access a bus or cab, contact a paratransit provider well in advance to apply, determine eligibility, and schedule services.
