- Free rides for individuals who qualify based on income and need.
- There are over 60 groups of volunteer pilots across the nation that can provide flights in private planes to patients that need to travel up to 1000 miles away for their medical care.
- Submit your online request for assistance with the Air Care Alliance to be connected with the specific volunteer pilot organizations that can best meet your needs.
Mercy Medical Angels (previously known as Angel Wheels)

A national non-profit charity that can cover the costs for long-distance ground or air transportation to medical treatment for people who can’t afford it on their own. Your request will be directed to a Transportation Coordinator, who will help you access charitable transportation services.

Call the local Medicaid office to learn about your health insurance options.
Depending on your situation, you may be able to apply for Medicaid to help you cover medical expenses, including transportation. You may be able to cover long-distance taxi rides by reimbursement if you qualify.
